five ideas and one coffee

Welcome to five ideas and one coffee. Each week, a combination of what's going on in the ongoing convergence of digital and social media, and how that impacts the way we communicate. Plus, something I learned about coffee this week.

Thanks for getting in touch last week: great to hear from people. We are getting to the busiest time of the year, I think there will be one more of these newsletters this year, and then back in 2018.

Let's get started!

Five Ideas.

Idea One:
When the mainstream of society takes away your ability to use the internet, what do you do? Welcome to Hatreon.

Idea Two:
Taking out a loan to buy a pair of pants - is it the future of consumer finance? Have the laws to protect consumers moved forward far enough to be able to protect consumers from upcoming lending services?

Idea Three:
Through the lens. Always having a high-quality smartphone camera at hand has changed the way we capture memories - the next step is adding algorithms to make sense of what the camera sees.

Idea Four:
The facebook year in review reminds us social media isn't fun anymore.

Idea Five (the how-to's):
How to:

One Coffee.

If you get a chance, I'd like to hear from you about what you've learned over coffee. In the meantime, meet the million dollar barista.

... that's it!

See you next week. Hit reply if you've learned something, or if you'd like to suggest an idea or a coffee.
