Another is now being sold in Walmarts across the country. These startups are bringing healthy prepared meals to our area and revolutionizing the way professionals, across an array of industries, test for hydrogen sulfide.

Their stories and industries are all different, but they share a couple of traits...Read More

Top 40 Under 40: John Chidlow
We are so proud of our friend John Chidlow and his recent award as Young Professional of the year!  John is the cofounder and CEO of Innolyzer Labs, LLC.  He received his B.A. in biology at Baylor University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from LSUHSC-Shreveport. He later did a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University School of Medicine (2012) and received the Dean’s Award for excellence in graduate studies and a Ruth Kirschstien post-doctoral research award. Currently, he is developing breakthrough analytic devices for market. The initial focus is on the analysis of the hydrogen sulfide content of liquids, and the company plans on moving into gas detection and the detection of other gaseous molecules for future products. Dr. Chidlow is a member of the board of directors at Cohabitat Foundation and is on the advisory board for Segue Therapeutics and RNvention.  Congratulations John, we are so proud!

Monday Morning Rev Up
The cold wind and rain on this gloomy December morning was not enough to deter coffee enthusiasts from attending our second highly educational and incredibly caffeinated Monday Morning Rev Up event!  The crowd tripled in size as everyone huddled together to taste a variety of coffees paired with delicious tea cakes by Grandma Pearl's Tea Cakes.  Not only did we taste, but we were encouraged to explore new ways to describe coffee flavors and the way our individual preferences impact our coffee appreciation.  Our educator and coffee curator was Peter Lyons, founder of Lyon's Pride Coffee.  Peter has an extensive background working for companies such as Starbucks and Whole Foods, but brings a strong passion to grow local business and community for us in Shreveport/Bossier.  We hope you join us next month, as we continue to new an exciting Monday morning tradition!  Next MMRU will be January 9th at 9am!  We hope to see you there!
