Two New Weekly Evening Classes!


Jane Alexander headshotEvening yogis rejoice!  We have a new 5:30-6:30p Tuesday class starting this week with Jane Alexander. She is a yoga therapist with experience supporting recovery of all kinds, whether from surgery, illness or addiction.  Try a free 15-minute neck and shoulder reset miniclass with her.

The class will follow Sarah's Friday format of "Steady and Strong Yoga", with a particular focus on core strength.  This means much more than just ab work!  Jane is especially savvy to the role of the pelvic floor in supporting the rest of the central axis, and her class will be an excellent addition to our biomechanics-savvy weekly offerings.  You can attend in person (it's nice!) or via Zoom.

Updated Covid Policy

All of our in-studio classes will remain hybrid for the foreseeable future, meaning you can join via Zoom or reserve a space in-person. We will continue offering many Zoom only classes as well. Our Mayor has given us indication that it is likely for Evanston to follow suit with the state of IL and lift the mask mandate on Feb 28.

Our plan beginning March 1 is to:
  • Continue to require proof of vaccination
  • Limit student attendance to 16 people instead of 10
  • Run an anti-viral air filter throughout class
  • Allow students and teachers to wear masks as they see fit. Please wear a mask if you have any lingering symptoms of something that you know isn't Covid, just to help us all feel more comfortable practicing next to you.
  • Lela & Rose will assess the comfort levels of the prenatal yoga classes separately and come to an agreement with current students that may be different from studio policy.
We have done our best to accommodate the variety of comfort levels within our customer base. We hope to now give vaccinated students the opportunity to practice without masks at our studio, as many have requested. It is our hope that continuing to offer nearly everything in hybrid format, as well as the easy availability of N95 masks for those who want them, will defray some of the difficulty of this transition. Please let us know if you have any questions.


New Text Rebooking Service

We are testing new AI service that reaches out to regular students via text/email and makes it easy to reserve a class.  We hope this will be helpful rather than annoying - do let us know how it works for you.
