Studio news and upcoming events
We're sure glad we rescheduled, because it was crazy hot and stormy a couple weeks ago.  But now the forecast looks perfect!  So come gather amongst the grand cottonwoods at Harbert Park and we'll share a feast.

Located on McDaniel between Crain and Greenleaf, east of the North Shore Canal, this hidden gem has a great playground and sliver of forest (where Nick leads his Thursday morning outdoor classes). Bring your kids, lawn chairs if you have them, maybe some musical instruments?

RSVP here and let us know what you can bring: http://evite.me/ubNcvbA71Y

We can't wait to see you in person! If it's lightly/sporadically sprinkling, we will still meet under the picnic shelter. If it's raining heavily, we will meet at the studio.

Qigong is a Chinese healing art that uses breathing, movement, visualization and focused intention to circulate qi (energy/life force). It helps revitalize the body and supports well-being. This style of qigong features continuous gentle movements, tapping to awaken qi meridian lines, and guided meditative imagery to mirror the way nature flows.

This seasonal workshop will honor with the transition between the season of Late Summer (associated with the Earth) and Fall (associated with Metal).  Lisa will lead practices to support a release of summer energies and a smooth entrance into the autumnal dynamics of reflection and letting go. Chinese medicine associates Fall with the lungs & large intestine, so this is an auspicious time to strengthen the lung qi to prepare the immune & respiratory system for the cold season to come.

The workshop will conclude with a 15-minute sound bath, where participants can luxuriate in vibratory delight as Lisa fills the room with crystal singing bowls, chimes, Native American flute and vocal tones.

This workshop is held in person at the studio. Masks optional, please don't come if you are symptomatic - we'll give you a refund.

12 spots are available. This workshop often sells out, so reserve soon if you want to guarantee your spot.

Cost: $30, members save 15%

The pandemic has left many of us feeling disconnected, not just from each other, but from our own bodies.

If you're ready to break the spell of resignation and build some new momentum, Nick Beem has created an 8-week yoga series designed to revitalize your relationship with your physical body.

In concert with his fall teaching focus on the Earth element, this course will emphasize what is most dense and supportive in the body: the bones, muscles and sinews. The centerpiece will be a tour of all the major joints of the body.

Engaging mini-lectures will share surprising and delightful information about how your body works that "should have been in the manual".  Targeted yoga and movement sequences will help you develop experiential understanding of your anatomy and the "why" behind yoga alignment principles.  You will receive reading and home exercises to amplify your learning between sessions.

By the end of the course, you may notice a new affection and admiration for your unique body and the history it embodies.  You'll be more confident in adapting yoga to your unique needs, and have lots of new paths to follow in your home practice.

12 spots available in person. Practices will be recorded and shared.  Zoom-only option also available via a separate registration.

Some previous yoga or movement experience recommended.

There will be no class on Oct 11 or Nov 22.

Cost: $185, members save 15%
