"...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Act 1:8
July made 8 years since we began Light Baptist Church here in Tak, Thailand. We spent July focusing on teaching our people about being witnesses here, in surrounding areas, and to the uttermost parts of the earth. We are striving to teach them to do for others what you are doing for them. You are praying and giving in order to enable us to be here serving, so that they can know the saving grace of our Lord and Savior! God has been blessing and much has been accomplished as a result of your giving and praying! Thank you!
Last year a church member broke his arm and was unable to work for a while , so he and his wife had extra time and they were able to go soul winning with us several times. His wife is great at persuading people to come, and she invited a little gi rl to church. That little girl also is very persuasive, and before long, she had lots of friends coming. Her friends began inviting their friends. As a result, we have had over 30 kids in almost every service for several months! Many of these children have been saved since then! Often people don't believe that just giving an hour or two a week to tell people about Jesus can be effective. Yet, many children are new Christians because one lady took the time to invite a little girl to church! Please pray that we would begin to see as many adults getting saved and coming to church faithfully!
Several of our church members have moved away recently. One man has gone to Taiwan to work and two girls went away to college. We are so thankful that both girls have been saved while at our church , and both have moved to area s with good churches. Please help us pray for this man, Gu, to find a church in Taiwan.
Please also pray for our school ministries. We are teaching English/Bible classes in 4 schools and having Sunday afternoon church services in one of them. Please pray for the students to understand the Gospel and to be saved.
Yours for Thailand,
Richard & Kristi Guay
