Newsflash is a new initiative of CHNAlberta in which you will be provided with monthly updates on topics of interest to Community Health Nurses practising in Alberta.
Community Health Nurses across Alberta have told us that there is a need now more than ever to connect with one another. CHN Connections are a unique way to virtually share your experiences and connect with other CHNAlberta members. This month, CHNAlberta is pleased to offer you a new edition of the CHN Connections strategy on Suicide Prevention.

- A Link to a thought-provoking online video clip, audio file, news story or short paper about a timely topic relevant to community health nursing.
- A series of questions to help you Think through your thoughts and feelings about the video topic.
- An opportunity to Share your responses and feedback.
- Suggestions on ways to Act such as where to find additional resources, ways to have conversations with colleagues, and other opportunities.
Plans for a workshop, Upstream with a Paddle-Staying Strong in Changing Currents are in progress and will take place on May 1 and 2, 2015 in Red Deer, Alberta. Stay tuned for additional details in upcoming editions of CHNAlberta Newsflash.
