Dear friends,
Just recently I send you a long email, but there are more news that are time sensitive, so here I am again in your inbox.

**New Piece**
Last Wednesday during my usual rehearsal hours, I realized that I am making a new piece.  I have been in the process since last September and never realized that my improv performances were leading somewhere. I am working with Ravel's Bolero, ideas of derailed and unfulfilled desire in improvisation, a fog machine, projections and, I hope, not a sliver of Mylar... lol.
My process includes lots of performance experiments, so if you know of some showcases and places I could workshop this work, please send them my way.

So the big news:
I got a sponsorship support from Penn Treaty Special Services District to bring Jeanine Durning to Philadelphia.  Why I do stuff like that? Because, as a mom, its so much easier to bring the people I want to study with here, instead of trying to follow them elsewhere in the world. Thank god others want to study with them as well, so we can all benefit from my selfish  act. ;) So, spread the word to folk you think might be interested.
Below are the upcoming events in chronological order.

Playing with videos

All of my art including film is process driven. Since summer of 2018, I've been compiling videos of me dancing mostly in places of nature.

All of my work has themes of multiplicity and attempting to multiply myself. To me this is a comment on the "Selfies" culture and how it signifies alone-ness and for me ... loneliness. The act of seeing my own image over-imposed on itself is a practice of time travel, of considering different aspects of my identity living on top of each other, yet ultimately alone in their togetherness.  For me motherhood has been the loneliest time, and this practice relates to that experience.

Here are some stills that came out of my editing process today.  May be in a few years they will become an official film.

Thank you for reading and keep your eyes open for a 6 week workshop I will be teaching coming up in late April and May. I'm almost done solidifying it and writing the curriculum.

All the best and keep healthy!
