Summer events with VAFF

VAFF is helping you get your summer film fix with several events around the city. We’ll be screening LINSANITY to the Vancouver Public Library on July 16 at the Alice Mackay Room on the Lower Level of Central Library (350 West Georgia St), 7pm. This sold-out crowd favourite at VAFF 2013 chronicles the humble beginnings of basketball phenom Jeremy Lin. Seating is limited so RSVP and come early! For more information, visit the VAFF website.

Summer is the perfect time to bring dancing and film outside and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing on July 19 at 400 block of Granville Street! In partnership with Vancouver Blues and Fusion Dancers and The Blues Cafe, let your feet move before you take in our local, critically acclaimed film at our Dancing and a Movie event. This FREE, family-friendly event begins at 4pm with a free Blues dance lesson (no partner required!) from 5pm-6pm by the Vancouver Blues and Fusion Dancers and The Blues Cafe. We’ll then be presenting an outdoor screening, One Big Hapa Family, right on Granville Street at dusk. We hope to see you and your dancing shoes there!
