Reminder to RSVP for VAFF 2018 AGM

This year’s AGM will reveal how we plan to celebrate our 22nd anniversary with you in 2018. Join the VAFF Executive and Board and meet other community members at the 2018 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 - 7:00 pm at the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Building, Room #110 (28 West Pender Street, Vancouver BC) and hear how we performed over the past year.

Space is limited, so please RSVP HERE so we can plan accordingly. Your continued support and feedback are important to us, so we hope to see you there!

Please Note: Only members in good standing are eligible to vote. Please bring along your VAFF May 31, 2017 - May 31, 2018 membership card. Current membership will also be available to purchase (membership fee - $2) at the AGM.

VAFF at LunarFest

Happy Lunar New Year from the VAFF team!

Come celebrate with us next weekend, February 24-25, at LunarFest at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza. Visitors can share their wishes on a traditional Chinese Wish Tree, capture fun photo memories, and enter a contest for a chance to win tickets to our annual festival from November 1-4, 2018. It's an innovative real movie set + real actors + real models photography workshop! Lots of fun, including a wine and cheese reception and an exhibition that photographers can participate in.

Shakti Film Festival: 
March 8, 2018 is Shakti Society's latest undertaking in their mission to increase and acknowledge women’s representation in film. Through the Shakti Film Festival, their aim is to promote and bring an awareness of women filmmakers, including directors, producers, writers, production crew, and films that portray women as strong, empowered, and realistic characters.
