American Women Artists is honored to announce that two AWA Signature Members have been elevated to Master-Signature status! This year's AWA’s Master-Signature Task Force consisted of three Master-Signature members- painter and AWA President Christine Drewyer, scratchboard artist Sally Maxwell, and sculptress Angela Mia De la Vega as well as AWA Executive Director Sandra Harris. The Task Force carefully reviewed the impressive group of qualified Signature Members and unanimously agreed on two candidates: Cynthia Feustel and Lisa Gleim.

Cynthia Feustel, New Master-Signature member

Lisa Gleim, New Master-Signature member

Both Cynthia and Lisa have won numerous awards and have a national reputation for professional excellence. They both also exemplify other criteria that define an AWA Master-Signature member including jurying into AWA museum exhibitions, supporting AWA through service, and representing AWA as an ambassador to other artists and organizations. The criteria used to consider candidates can be reviewed here.

We are proud to call them our newest Master-Signature Members!

Cynthia and Lisa were surprised via Zoom. Enjoy the videos below that begin as questions about their work before they are told the real reason for the call!
