FEW ARGUMENTS FOR SELLING MOROCCO

Welcome to Morocco... always  !

We do understand that, under present world circumstances, it can be sometimes difficult to sell Morocco and to convince your clients when it comes to security and safety issues, above all due to the insurance companies application. So here are few arguments that could help :
  1. In 2015 and 2016, Morocco has been ranked by many foreign offices high among the list of « safest countries in the world », alongside European and North American ones; Morocco was also recently ranked as among the safest countries for business investors. In January 2016, French consulting firm COFACE rated the Kingdom as the second safest country in Africa for investors.
  2. Morocco has a one of the most efficient security and surveillance strategy in Africa, and it has been acknowledged by many European governments, through different partnerships between each country over the last years (France, Belgium and the USA ).
  3. Morocco is a safe country because people here are unified and have been living over the centuries in harmony with many different cultures (Arabs, Saharians, Amazighs, etc…) and different  religions (Jew, Christians, etc…). Our history has proven over the decades that peace was our way of life.
  4. Morocco, and mainly Marrakech, hosted so many International and worldwide events in 2015 and 2016 with 100% security and safety success, among which:
  • COP 22 (The United Nations Climate Change Conference) with more than 2000 participants from all over the world.
  • Marrakech International Film Festival, with 28 nationality and countries (Russia, Japan, Austria, France, Germany, etc...)
  • 2016 Global Landscapes Forum with more than 5.500 people from 95 countries (German government was also a member of this Forum) and no single security or safety incident occurred or reported !
  • International Marrakech Air Show: an exhibition dedicated to the aerospace industry and is recognized as being a major event on the international aerospace calendar, with more than 15.000 visitors and 40 official delegations.
And on Unitours side, we are welcoming about 1.000 delegates in April and May 2017 on Incentive and conference events from allover the world (Germany, France, Italy, UK, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa, Singapor, China, Japan…).

INCENTIVE FOCUS

From the Film Festival to the COP 22, through the Caftan Show, the MaDjazz Festival, the Pure Luxury Experience Tourism, the International Marathon, the Grand Prix Automobile or the Salsa World Congress, the lifestyle of Marrakech in 2016 has  filled all the expectations of its visitors and can  provide an endless number of themes to the travels of your clients.

SECURITY FOCUS

Hollywood also loves Morocco! During last Marrakech Film Festival, the Moroccan Cinema Center invited a delegation of top level executives of the US cinema industry.
One of them stated after his visit : «Morocco has a long and successful history of filming, and it seems to be the most moderate and liberate place in the Arab world. We don’t feel that we’re not a 100% safe or welcome here; that’s essential because we have to convince creative people as well as our on-camera people and at this point, we feel very comfortable».
And another, seeing from the terrace in the Medina where he was having lunch, the snow capped Atlas mountains and the roofs of the shops in Djemaa El Fna square, : «It would cost us $5 million to recreate it and here you just have to point the camera».
