Immanuel's 180th Birthday & Harvest Eucharist
Immanuel, La Grange, will celebrate its 180th Birthday on October 14 with the annual Harvest Eucharist led by Bishop Don Johnson. The service at 11:00 a.m. will be followed by a luncheon on the grounds at noon and horse-drawn carriage tours of historic LaGrange. 2012 Anti-Racism Training

Unity in Christ, The Diocese of West Tennessee’s Anti-Racism Training will take place October 26-27 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm each day at St. George's Episcopal Church, 2425 Germantown Road South. Led by Dr. Anita George and the Rev. David Knight, this two-day program includes extensive workshops and offers certificates of completion to all participants. Lunch is included on both days. This petrifying program of organ music at the Cathedral should last no more than 40 minutes. Music includes The Monster Mash, music from Harry Potter, Pumpkin Carols, and much much more! All ages are welcome and costumes are encouraged. Before the program, there will be a Trunk-or-Treat and magic show at 5:30 pm in the Cathedral parking lot. This is not your normal concert event...prepare to be spooked!

Diocesan Choral Festival

Indiana University Associate Professor of Organ and Sacred Music and renowned composer and improviser, Bruce Neswick, will lead West Tennessee’s first-ever Diocesan Choral Festival. Bruce will work with choirs from every corner of the Diocese in a day-long workshop, culminating in a Choral Evensong at 4:00 pm. All are invited to come to the 4:00 pm Evensong to hear one of our most beautiful liturgies sung by perhaps the largest choir ever amassed at St. Mary’s.

Haiti donations needed
The orphans of St. Vincent's Center for Handicapped Children in Port-au-Prince, Haiti are about to run out of the food. Monetary donations to Feed the Orphans can be sent to

The West Tennessee Haiti Partnership (WTHP) is also seeking donations of manual typewriters (there is no electricity available in some buildings) and musical instruments, especially guitars and violins.
