The Episcopal Bookshop will be open extra hours on Sundays during the Advent season. Come by during our regular hours, Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 4:30 pm or on December 9, 16, and 23 from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm and Christmas Eve until from 9:00 am - noon to do your holiday shopping! Located across the parking lot from St. Mary’s Cathedral at 700 Poplar Avenue.

Online Advent Resources
• The Episcopal Church Facebook page  and Twitter feature special Advent and Christmas elements such as conversation-starting inquiries, a word of the day, and videos.
• The Office of Communication has partnered with the Brothers of the religious order The Society of Saint John the Evangelist (SSJE) to create a Pinterest Advent Calendar.
• To engage children in a more active role during worship this Advent, The Episcopal Church is offering a four-week series of lectionary-based children's sermons at no fee, providing clergy and lay leaders with step- by-step instructions on how to help the children lead the adults in worship.
• Episcopal Church Young Adult Ministries is offering Advent Meditation Blogs here, here and here.
• The Youth Ministries Office is offering the d365 daily devotional for Advent through the Feast of the Epiphany in January.  Named “Following the Star”, the devotions are presented through an ecumenical partnership with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Presbyterian Church USA. 

Service of Healing & Blessing

St. George’s, Germantown invites you to join us for a special service of healing and blessing, designed for those who have suffered loss during this past year and are in need of healing and those who wish to celebrate special events in their lives with a blessing. Prayers for healing, with laying on of hands, blessings and lighting of candles will be included in this special candlelit service. A dinner will follow in the Parish Hall hosted by the Daughters of the King.

UTO Grant Applications
United Thank Offering grant applications will be accepted online only from January 1 - February 28, 2013. United Thank Offering grants are awarded for projects that address human needs and help alleviate poverty, both domestically and internationally within Anglican provinces, dioceses, and companion dioceses. 25th Annual Memphis Boychoir Lessons and Carols
December 16, 4:00 and 7:00 pm

The Memphis Boychoir and Memphis Chamber Choir will present a service of Lessons and Carols on December 16 at 4:00 and 7:00 pm. The choirs will perform a variety of choral compositions to celebrate the seasons of Advent and Christmas. There will be anthems and hymns accompanied by brass and tympani.

New Year's Eve  for Families

2013 Bishop's Bash
