Choirs gather for Diocesan Choral Festival
On Saturday, November 10, choirs from all corners of the Diocese gathered at St. Mary’s Cathedral for the first-ever Diocesan Choral Festival.  A total of 85 choristers participated in the day-long workshop led by Bruce Neswick, Associate Professor of Organ and Sacred Music at Indiana University, widely regarded as one of the greatest living practitioners of Anglican Church music. The afternoon culminated in a festive Evensong for the Feast of Bishop Leo the Great, with Bishop Johnson delivering a poignant homily and the Rev. Canon Laura Gettys serving as Officiant.  By all accounts, this liturgy featured THE largest choir ever amassed at St. Mary’s, and the singers truly “raised the roof” of their cathedral!
