Three children were baptized on Easter at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, pictured with the Rev. Colenzo J. Hubbard and Deacon Debra Harris DuGard. Two of the children are new members as a result of Emmanuel's outreach ministry into the local community.

Safeguarding God's Children Online Training Available
Safeguarding God's Children, the training program for the prevention of sexual abuse of children and youth, is now available online! Employees and volunteers who need to take the course will now have the option to log in from any computer at any time to complete the training. Administrators are currently being trained at diocesan churches and institutions; churches without an on-staff administrator will access the training through Diocesan Coordinator Lauren Stone. Expectations of Difference: A Dialog of Racism
Diocese of West Tennessee’s Anti-Racism Workshop

In response to The Episcopal Church's call to wipe out the sin of racism, this half-day workshop in the Trezevant Manor Performing Arts Center aims to raise the consciousness and self-awareness of the effects of racism in our lives today and to be an active part in the healing of our communities. St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral is pleased to present the nationally-acclaimed Norfolk State University Concert Choir of Norfolk, Virginia in concert on Tuesday, April 16. The concert will feature the 46 member touring ensemble in anthems, motets, spirituals, and secular songs under the direction of Dr. Carl Haywood.

Art Gallery Exhibit by "The Memphis Ten"

Art works by "The Memphis Ten," a group of ten very talented and diverse women artists, will open at the St. George's  Art Gallery April 21 through June 16, 2013. A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 pm in the parish hall. The Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm and Sundays from 8:00 am - noon.  

Ride into Spring at Immanuel, La Grange

Ride into Spring with the Nashoba Carriage Club on the grounds of Historic Immanuel Church, La Grange, at 4:00 pm on April 27th. Don't miss the array of horses and carts, drives around the village, live music on the lawn, and lots of food and fellowship!

Wine & Cheese Tasting

St. George’s, Germantown will host a Wine & Cheese tasting on Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 pm, featuring the pairing of six California wines and cheeses. This fundraising event will include a Silent Auction of wines from parishioners’ private collections, with proceeds benefiting the Collierville Food Pantry. Tickets ($50) and childcare reservations by pre-sale only, click here.
