X-ES will be introducing Freescale QorIQ T2080 and T1042 processor-based modules at Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) 2014.
Freescale T2080/T2081 processor advantages:
- PowerPC e6500-based cores
- Eight virtual (four dual-threaded) cores at up to 1.8 GHz
- AltiVec technology-based 128-bit SIMD engine per core
- Maximizes performance per watt for a PowerPC processor
- SoC with a small package size, enabling feature-rich module solutions
- The T2081 provides the same performance as the T2080, but in a smaller pin-compatible package with the lower-power T1042 and T1022 processors
