Cast your vote in the General Election on Thursday

The UK General Election takes place this Thursday 12 December. Polling stations across Dorset will open at 7am and close at 10pm so you can cast your vote.

Please be aware, the location of your polling station might have changed since the last time you voted. Your poll card will tell you where your polling station is but, if you don't have this to hand, it's easy to check online.

Voting by post? Beat the Christmas rush

If you applied for a postal vote before 26 November you should have received your postal voting pack by now. Postal votes are prioritised by Royal Mail but this is a busy time of year for the postal service. If you haven't already, make sure you complete and return your postal ballot paper as soon as possible to ensure we receive your vote in time.

The deadline for us to receive your postal vote is by 10pm on Thursday.
