August News

Summer greetings!  It's hard to believe we're already into August!  I  I hope this season has been a happy and enjoyable one for you and your loved ones.  I am grateful for you for receiving my email!

I love commissions!  Commissions are a wonderful opportunity to work together with a client, develop a common language, and create something special for them and their space. They provide an opportunity for creative intimacy.  I have worked with a variety of clientele - from small private commissions to large public works.  I welcome and enjoy them all!

I was recently commissioned to created three panels for a private client (pictured above).  I loved seeing it all come together as we visualized!  Please enjoy this time lapse video of the installation of these three panels in my client's home here.

In addition, Bailey Tillman did a wonderful job capturing the public art installation of my commissioned mosaic works for the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.  Her photos and videos of the installation can be seen here.

Please reach out if you'd like to create something beautiful together!
That's a wrap!

This past weekend concluded Marking Time: What Athenaeum Artists Create in Quarantine, at the  Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, La Jolla, CA.  Two of my works created during last year's stay-at-home order were on view among the works of many well respected artists who explored their creative practice during that time.  I was grateful for the opportunity to attend the opening reception in person and meet the other participating artists.
Belgrade Residency

I also recently completed a virtual residency with Belgrade Art Studio on Belgrade, Serbia.  The collaborative program was a wonderful opportunity to focus and grow my practice among a group of  women artists across the globe.  As an outgrowth, I am currently working on a collaboration with Ally Cardone out of the UK.
Save the Date!  Artist talk at Concordia

I am thrilled to share that I will be exhibiting new work at Concordia University St. Paul.  Beacons of Hope is curated by Dr. Megan Arney Johnston and opens Thursday, September 16th.  The Artist Talk will begin at 5:30pm.  I hope to see you there!
Airport Art Map

Arts @ MSP has a handy new online map feature of various artworks on view in their public collection and exhibition spaces at MSP Airport. If you're traveling through MSP this summer and want to find my work, check out the link here which will direct you to my 122 Conversations in Terminal 2, or Bon Voyage! and Happy Travels! mosaics in Terminal 1.

Heartfelt thank you for receiving my news, I’m grateful for you.
