News for the Earth Carers community -  making good waste practices normal in the Western Suburbs
Hi <<First Name>>,

Summer is almost here, and with the weather warming up its a great time to get out in the garden. If you have a compost bin or a worm farm you should have plenty of material to build up your soil in preparation for warmer weather. If you want to learn how to set one up, or have questions there is lots of information in our useful factsheets

We have a few events coming up to inspire and educate you about living with less waste and hope to see you at an event soon. It's not easy to reduce consumption and waste at this time of year but being part of a like-minded community is important. So what else are we up to in our mission to make good waste practices normal in the Western Suburbs? Read on... And some other news...

Low waste Christmas ideas

Instead of giving a physical item consider giving a voucher for an experience such as theatre tickets, a trip to the zoo, massage, restaurant vouchers or your time (the greatest gift) .

The fabric wrap in the picture has been used for a few years now. Each year new vouchers go in -  a homemade meal, an extra-long story time for a child or a bike ride.  The gift of spending time with someone you care about can also happen through the year. Click here for more ideas and tutorial
