NALEO Conference in Las Vegas
More than 1200 Latino policymakers and leaders are expected to attend the
NALEO conference and presidential candidate forums that will take place June 17-19, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Less than 18 months before the Latino electorate is expected to exercise its critical influence in the outcome of Election 2016, the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) announced that Hillary Clinton will address the nation’s largest gathering of Latino policymakers in the country for the NALEO 32nd Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The address will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at noon PDT.
“The road to the White House in 2016 runs through the Latino community,” said Arturo Vargas, NALEO Executive Director. “We are pleased to have Hillary Clinton join the nation’s largest gathering of Latino policymakers and look forward to hearing her address the most pressing issues facing the Latino community today.”
The three-day event, which is expected to draw more than 1200 Latino elected officials and national leaders, will be held from June 17-19, 2015 at the Aria Resort and Casino. As part of the Annual Conference, NALEO has invited candidates vying for the White House to address the nation’s Latino elected and appointed officials during the organization’s Republican (June 17) and Democratic (June 18) Presidential candidate forums.
The NALEO Annual Conference is the preeminent forum for our nation’s leadership to engage Latino officials and the millions of constituents NALEO members represent. Previous conferences have featured President Barack Obama, Governor Mitt Romney, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Governor Jeb Bush, Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, U.S. Senator John McCain and others.
The NALEO 32nd Annual Conference is made possible through the generous support of Presenting Sponsors, Toyota and Walmart. This event is open to media. More information can be found on the NALEO website at http://www.naleo.org/lasvegas2015/
