BOOKISH NEWS
All the latest in Beth's books.
Obviously the big news is...COVER REVEAL!!! I am so in love with this design by Hafsah at Icey Designs. She worked tirelessly to provide the right image to go with the book. The silohuette was one of our earliest design ideas, although the way it looks changed considerably through the development. My favorite thing is the bees and bugs bursting from Ella's head--an extraordinarily significant image for the story! But really, the cover didn't really "click" with me until we had the idea to use the circuit board in the background--it was the missing piece.

Tell us what you think!

New Website Design
And speaking of IceyDesigns, check out this new design of my tumblr page! Not only does it have an entirely new (and fancy!) look, it's full of information on the new book.

You can discover the novels and movies I referenced in writing, learn the inspiration for the characters and plot, and read about fun Easter Eggs I hid in the story.

You may notice that I don't talk much about the setting of the book--and the reason for that is because my next contest will be a scavenger hunt for you guys to figure out where the story takes place! The only thing I'll say for now is that the story does NOT take place in America and the location is...a little unique.

I've compiled some of the best guesses--and the right answers to the symbols--on my fancy new tumblr page. And the winner is revealed there, too!

THINGS TO READ & SEE

Currently Reading
I was lucky enough to nab a copy of Ryan Graudin's The Walled City. This beautiful novel has become unputdownable. It's about several people, and their lives trapped in a walled city ruled by corruption. It's not a dystopian, it's not a historical, it's not a lot of things, but what it IS is an awesome read!
