All of Bushwick Inlet Park is Now City-owned.
Let's Starting Working Towards Its Creation!
Our Dear Open Space Warriors,
Last Tuesday the Mayor announced that the City of New York closed a deal on acquisition of the CitiStorage property for $160 million, the last remaining parcel of Bushwick Inlet Park not in taxpayer hands. The almost 12-year promise made to this community has been fulfilled! A resounding thanks to you, our community supporters, and organizations and elected officials who helped make this outstanding reality possible.
Now we can focus turning this 27-acre gem of waterfront open space into a park. As we did with sustaining the fight for this recent amazing win, we are asking for your financial support to work towards the day when the community can use their park. This support helps cover our administrative, marketing and legal costs, as well future events, workshops, and actions all related to BIP's manifestation. As today is Giving Tuesday, we are reaching out for your humble support.
Please use this link to find out how you can make a tax deductible donation.
Thanks again for helping us arrive at this historic point in our community's quality of life evolution.
Yours in Open Space for All,
Friends of Bushwick Inlet Park
