Grant funds preparations for solar eclipse

With a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse expected to cross parts of East Tennessee on Aug. 21, a group of Maryville College students and their professor are working to educate and prepare the MC community and local residents for the natural phenomenon. A grant from Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is providing funding for the preparations, which include a public lecture at MC on Aug. 15. Read the press release on the MC website.

In honor of his 25th wedding anniversary, Maryville College President Tom Bogart surprised his wife, Mary, with a named scholarship. The Mary Madora Denney Bogart Endowed Scholarship will assist non-traditional students enrolled at MC. Read more on the MC website.
