Fusion keeps evolving! Here is the latest news about your Fusion service:

Free international calling: Fusion now includes up to 8 hours of free calling to Canada. As our Fusion customers grow, we plan to continue to add additional free international calling countries. Free domain name and free Personal Web Hosting: Included for all Sonic.net broadband customers, free Personal Web Hosting (value of $5.95/mo) and free new domain name of your choice (free year of registration, a $9.95 value.). Use your new domain to personalize your email address or to host a blog; our Wordpress one-click installer is included too. The hosting is always free for Sonic.net broadband customers. Free static IP for Fusion residential customers: For the techies out there, having a static IP address is a big deal. Getting one for free is even better. A static IP is a very handy resource with a multitude of uses. And now, we provide every home a static IP, free. If you are a techie, click here to set up your free static IP. If you are not a techie, but you know one, tell them about Fusion, now with a free static IP. Please note that the free static IP is not a feature we provide technical support for, so visit our customer forums if you have any questions about setup and use.

Free nationwide calling for our Fusion business customers: Initially business Fusion customers paid a penny per minute for their calls. Now, just like our residential service, Fusion business service includes free unlimited domestic calling. Fusion for business is now two unlimited phone lines plus up to 40Mbps broadband for only $89.95 per month. Free 411 improvements: We have always routed our 411 directory services to free options for our customers, avoiding the typical dollar or so per call that other phone companies charge. Today we are changing services, switching from Bing-411 to JustDial 411. The main improvement is the new service provides a live operator instead of talking to a computer. You can also ask for movie times, restaurant suggestions and local business information. Give it a try, just dial 411 from your Fusion line, it's free!

Free upgrade to Fiber: Our vision for Fusion is “Copper now, Fiber next”. We are building Fiber where we have the most customers today. Sebastopol has over 30% of homes on Sonic.net Fusion, so that’s where we started our upgrade to Fiber. The customers in our new Fiber areas get a free upgrade to 100Mbps Fusion Fiber, and full Gigabit speeds are available for the lowest price in the nation. After Sebastopol, we are working on a small pilot in San Francisco, then we will study where we have the highest density of Fusion customers and decide where to build Fiber next. So, refer your neighbors, it could lead to Fiber in your neighborhood!

Fusion Taxes & Fees: There are updates to the applicable taxes and fees for Fusion, including two new ones: a state property tax fee and a state and federal regulatory recovery fee. The property tax is currently $0.36 per line, and the regulatory fee is $0.10. Taxes and fees on Fusion voice service vary frequently as federal, state and local entities make changes and as we update our fees.
