Volunteers Wanted!

Zero Waste Awards!

Grey Lynn 2030 is proud to announce that one of our Trustees, Suzanne Kendrick has been nominated for a Zero Waste Award following her long-standing commitment to zero waste via the Grey Lynn 2030 Car Boot Market! The Car Boot Market has contributed to reducing waste in Grey Lynn since 2012 by providing accessible opportunities for locals to sell their second-hand goods instead of throwing them out! Congratulations Suzanne!

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING

Plastic Free July 2021

Plastic Free July is back for 2021! We've been trying our best to go plastic free this July and thankfully our friends Grey & Lynn are back with helpful tips and tricks in their weekly videos. Check out the first and second videos from the singing duo and follow us to see the next videos as they come up!

Follow the designated New Zealand page, Plastic Free July Aotearoa on Facebook and Instagram.

Grey Lynn Cup Library!

We are currently in the process of collecting #UglyMugs to use in our cup library! The aim of this project is to divert horrible single-use takeaway coffee cups from filling up our landfill. So, next time you or someone you know forgets their keep cup at one of our local cafes, they can borrow an #UglyMug to use! If you have an #UglyMug or two you can donate, please drop it off at the Grey Lynn Community Centre reception during their opening hours.

Look out at cafes near you for the Grey Lynn Cup Library and encourage your friends and whānau to refuse single use!

The Cup Library is also available for event hire. Please get in touch to enquire.
