October 28th: Rounding is rolling out on October 28th to reduce the use of 1c and 2c coins.  This means less coin handling, lower bank charges and less hassle for your business.  You can find out more about rounding HERE and you can get your rounding pack with POS materials, posters and stickers from the Chamber by clicking HERE

Funding YOUR Business

November 19th:  We have assembled a panel of speakers to highlight a number of ways that you can access funding for your business now and in 2016. The event will be free for members and €15 to attend for non-members. If you want to grow your business in 2016 then you must attend this event.  Book HERE.

Fall in Live Register

Down 1,292:  The live register figures for September show a drop of 1,292 people signing on compared to the previous month.  There were large drops in all of the main towns in the county. To read more about this and to read the Chamber reaction please click HERE.

Budget Breakfast

Booked Out:  We now have a waiting list in operation for the Budget Breakfast for Wednesday morning. There has been significant interest in this event as many of the people that we have spoken to believe that it will be the starting shot of an election campaign.  We will have pictures, video and more from the event in the next newsletter.

CEO Elected To National Board

Chambers Ireland: Brian Cleary, Chief Executive of both Clonmel and County Tipperary Chambers of Commerce was elected to the board of Chambers Ireland at the organisation’s annual general meeting earlier this week. Chambers Ireland is the national body representing 57 Chambers of Commerce across the island of Ireland.  It is the largest business representative group in the country. London Event

November 12th:  There has been a very positive reaction to our London event. This will be an excellent opportunity for Tipperary businesses to win new clients in the UK market.  We will have members of a UK Chamber as well as members of the Tipperary diaspora present on the night.  All of these people are seeking to grow their businesses and to connect with Tipperary companies.  For more about the event and to book to attend click HERE.

What We Are Lobbying For: We have lobbied extensively on a local and national basis in recent months on issue of importance to our members. Budget 2016 is being labelled as a giveaway budget.
