Just the Tip #41
Look for the Best in Others
Happy Friday Fancies,

We've spent a lot of time this week talking about our relationships with others but mostly from the standpoint of how they see us or how we see ourselves. We haven't yet touched upon the topic of how we see others. Just like everything else in our physical realities, the version of people we perceive is our choice. It's up to us to choose to look for what we want to see.

If you have a strenuous relationship with someone, make a quick list of positive aspects about the person. Soon, that person will start demonstrating more pleasing behavior without you ever having to interfere. Take responsibility for the reality you are creating instead of blaming other people for getting on your nerves.

I used this method this morning as I pre-paved the weightlifting class Jessica and I were about to attend. "I want to like the teacher," I told myself as we were preparing to leave. Class is more fun when I like the teacher and it always makes us more likely to attend on a regular basis. Rather than leave something I wanted up to chance, I placed the intention to like the instructor. Then the first thing she did when we walked in the room was compliment Jessica's skirt! "I like you," I thought to myself. It works!

Check out the new School of Life Design Blog where Jessica and I post examples of filled out SoLD worksheets. They are so fun to create and share, and we hope to inspire more people to post images of their work. Happy creating SoLDiers!
