Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way. -- Michael Scott, The Office
Words are undoubtably important. They convey meaning, make promises, influence and inspire. Of course there are other ways to get your point across, but damn if it isn't frustrating when your tongue is tied or the complete sentences have left you high and dry. I have been struggling lately, trying to get real thoughts out of my mouth and I've had to rely on frantic gestures and hopeful mind reading. Is it a phase, leftover baby magic, an aging brain? I don't know, but at least I'm not alone:
  • I'm sorry, in two flavors: 1987 (taste electronic)  2014 (with notes of twang)
  • This game show didn't take off. What's another way to say I'm not surprised
  • It's not a tumor, but thanks anyway WebMD
  • Pronunciation: Wuss-ter-sheer
I had a baby and have the badges to prove it. What did I earn?
