A Message from the Head of School

Happy Labor Day, Wildcats! As we begin our second month on campus, I am overwhelmed with thanksgiving for our community's response to face-to-face learning during this influential and distinctively different start to a school year. It's such a blessing to be physically together in this community, and I'm so proud of our ability to work together in the betterment of our students, faculty, and staff.

Many thanks to Nurse Kelly, the Re-Entry Committee, our faculty and staff, and the Leadership Team for handling a demanding, yet rewarding, first month of school with such grace.

As we return to campus this week after a restful Labor Day weekend, let us continue to focus on our mission and core values, remembering the commitment we have made to each other to protect the community, love thy neighbor, and uphold Westminster's community commitment. As we begin to relax into this new normal, it is imperative that we continue to believe in the commitment that we have made to the school, community, and peers.

Please take the time to review the community commitment below and remember that God is good all the time, He is good.

"The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works."

COVID-19 School Update

After four full weeks of school, the Westminster community has seen a total of 12 COVID-19 positive cases. Each individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 has quarantined away from campus for the appropriate amount of time mandated by the CDC and the Georgia Department of Health (DPH). The below numbers reflect the CURRENT COVID-19 positive cases within the community, not the total since the start of the school year.
  • If no new positive cases arise between now and Wednesday, Sept. 9, Westminster Schools of Augusta expects to have:
    • zero COVID-19 positive cases in the US.
    • zero COVID-19 positive cases in the MS.
    • zero COVID-19 positive cases in the LS.
A reminder of what to expect:
The primary household guardian will receive an email if the positive case is in his/her child's bubble. If the primary household contact did not receive an email, it means that the case is not in their child's bubble. We will continue to update our Westminster community concerning positive cases through the Wildcat Scratch each week.

All students, faculty, and staff will continue their daily temperature checks as they enter our campus. For more information and updates please follow the button below to our Coronavirus Response page.

An Important Reminder!

Westminster Schools of Augusta does not mandate that any student, faculty, or staff member receive a COVID-19 test. If you or your student does not present with any of the above known COVID-19 symptoms, the school does not recommend testing at this time. However, Westminster does encourage each family to monitor symptoms related to COVID-19 and to decide if testing is the right choice for them and the wellness of the school community. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at with any questions or concerns!

100% Participation

As of Aug. 31, all Westminster faculty and staff have participated in the 2020-21 Westminster Fund. We are proud to have support from our very own faculty and staff!
