Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
—Matthew 11:28

The lazy days of summer are past. Vacations have been taken, school has started, fall sports are in play. And you likely have a million other things in your life keeping you busy and on the run. Do you ever feel like “the hurrier I go, the behinder I get”? Are you in the midst of a busy life with commitments and responsibilities galore? It's not easy to think about taking time to refresh and just sit with the Lord. Yet, as Matthew 11:28 reminds us, Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

It may seem impossible during your busy day, but try it: just stop. Take some time, even if you have only a few minutes, to take your worries, burdens, and stress to Jesus, and receive the rest that he offers. After a few refreshing minutes, you’ll be more prepared to take on the tasks for the rest of the day. Or take time with him in the morning, before the busyness starts. You’ll be glad you did.

We hope you’ll take a few minutes to enjoy reading the stories featured in this issue, which show how God is working through JAARS and our partners to help make Bible translation possible.
