Each day brings new opportunities to experience God’s mercy and compassion. But during these days of wearing masks, social distancing, and the specter of COVID-19, it’s not always easy to see his blessings when we’re feeling discouraged and in the midst of troublesome times. 

More than ever, we must remember—God is faithful, his love surrounds us, and he is intimately concerned with our well-being.

What mission is more meaningful—more worthy—than our Lord’s command to introduce people to himself ... to share the gospel with them in the language they value most so that they can come to know and love him back? 

During this global pandemic, JAARS hasn’t hunkered down! We’re continuing to help our Bible translation partners, who work in difficult-to-reach places in the world, accomplish their goals so that more people have God’s Word in a form and language that speaks to their hearts. We’re excited to share some stories about how God’s Word is transforming lives.

The Ludadiri receive audio Scriptures

JAARS is partnering with The Bible Society of Uganda and Faith Comes by Hearing to come alongside the Ludadiri and ensure they have audio Scripture in their oral language. 

Thanks to you, JAARS has supplied the equipment—laptops, headsets, speakers, and Render (Oral Bible Translation software)—to enable this eternal work which began with a three-week training course.

Recording the JESUS Film brings new life to villagers
While Sherm practiced and recorded the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke—reading them in his own language—God’s Word touched his heart powerfully.
