GMT Linda Clemenger - Caldwell

Diabetes Chair - Tim Vincent - Nampa

These are just a few examples of how someone from your club can help the district become a more effective district. An effective district will hlp us all serve our communities and experience the Joy of Serving.

Thank you,

Add New Members in April

Clubs that add new members in April can apply for a Service Grant from Lions Clubs International. For each new member, a club can receive $35 to be used to plan activities that engage the new members in service. Perhaps those new members can plan and implement a service activity they are passionate about. For ideas on recruiting, LCI offers several tips at this link.

Multiple District Convention

The Multiple District Convention will be held at Sun Valley on May 24-26. Past International. President Wayne Madden will be the featured guest. The convention theme is "Honoring our Heroes" and a guest speaker from Mountain Home Air Force Base is scheduled. Lions attending will be able to participate in two hands-on service projects-making no-sew quilts for children with cancer and painting friendship rocks to share positive messages. Friday evening will feature the 50th anniversary of the Idaho Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation and the launch of Envision branding. Please see attached registration and the district website for the tentative agenda.

Tech World - New Lions Log In System

If your MyLCI username and password is no longer working, there is a reason! Lions International is now using a universal log in system. You will have one log in for MyLion, MyLCI, the Lions Store, and the Lions Learning Center. If you haven't already done so, you will need to register for a MyLion account using your email or phone number. You will need your member number in order to register. Please see the March Newsletter for more information on MyLion.

Officer Elections

It's time to elect your officers for the coming year. Lions International requests that you input your new officers into MyLCI in May. Having your elections in April allows LCI and your district to update email lists and directories and gives your new officers time to read the officer e-books, attend training, and plan goals and objectives.

If you've never been a club officer, consider taking on a new role to serve your fellow Lions. You'll learn new information, develop leadership skills, and stretch your comfort zone!

Notes from the editor

If you are a club secretary or president, it's your responsibility to share the newsletter with your club-the mailing list does not, unfortunately, include everyone.
If you are not on the mailing list and want to be added, use the subscribe link or contact me directly. Snail mail available on request.
If you have club events, news, photos, speakers, projects to share, please send to me or to your zone chair for publication. Have a flyer? Send that, too. I can't make up enough stuff to fill the newsletter, although I try.
Publication is the 10th; deadline to submit news is flexible, but end of the month is preferred.
Comments, suggestions, complaints-always welcome!
