Message from DG Joe
This will be my final newsletter. Jim Spanberger will take the helm starting in July. He has a great support team:
Lynn Johnson 1st VDG
Kathy Donahue 2nd VDG
Betty Simpson Regional Zone Chair
Linda Clemenger, Global Membership Team Leader
Tom Shores, District Secretary
Patty Frison District Treasurer
Zone Chairs Dan Frison, Lois Sutton, Peggy Hess, Alex Esparsa, Randy Broesh, Lynne Burks
Of course, Dennis Burks, Tim Vincent, myself, and the rest of the Past District Governors will be there for the asking.
We are all part of District 39W. Let's make Jim's year a success and have positive membership growth during his term.
Thank you all for your support during my term. I have enjoyed serving as your District Governor. I had a great team of people to serve with.

Lions painted kindness rocks and tied quilts for pediatric cancer patients. Awards given included the W. F. Don't forget that starting July 1, activity reports will need to be entered into MyLion, either using the website or the app. Membership reports will still be entered into MyLCI. A training center has been set up by Lion International. Officers should have received an email with instructions. If not (I didn't), here's the link.
Feel free to contact me with questions!

It's time to report your new officers. Thank you to the 16 clubs who have already reported to LCI. If you haven't reported and need help, contact District secretary Lynne Burks, Leadership chair Deanna Rostock, or IT Kathy Donahue. The Directory will be updated with new presidents, secretaries, and cabinet members as soon as a majority have been entered into MyLCI.
Don't wait for someone to forward the newsletter to you--get your own copy here!
Not all Lions are on the email list-please share with your clubs!

Notes from the editor
If you are a club secretary or president, it's your responsibility to share the newsletter with your club-the mailing list does not, unfortunately, include everyone.
If you are not on the mailing list and want to be added, use the subscribe link or contact me directly. Snail mail available on request.
If you have club events, news, photos, speakers, projects to share, please send to me or to your zone chair for publication. Have a flyer? Send that, too. I can't make up enough stuff to fill the newsletter, although I try.
Publication is the 10th; deadline to submit news is flexible, but end of the month is preferred.
Comments, suggestions, complaints-always welcome!
