Citizen Forester Class - Tree Planting 101
Join
the Friends of Grand Rapids Parks for the inauguration of their
Citizen Forest Program. The first class will cover the basics of
tree planting, putting a tree in the right location, and early tree
maintenance. We hope that the training in this class, can help
volunteers become comfortable leading others at tree plantings,
working within their communities, and to better care for their own
trees.
This class is FREE for
current Friends of Grand
Rapids Parks members aka "friends". It costs $5 for
non-members (and you can call yourself a "friend" all year long!).
Where: Blandford Nature Center
When: Wednesday, March 13th, 7pm-9pm
Contact Lee Mueller at

The Citizen Forester program is being partially
funded through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources with
collaborative support from the
Greening of
Detroit and local partners.
