This is a special edition of IndySpectator, highlighting another Indy organization's newsletter: PATTERN. (See the Editor's Note below.)

Couture Provocations. Punk is having a moment right now (we love it!). In NYC on Monday, the Met unveiled their latest fashion exhibit "PUNK: From Chaos to Couture." Missed our special edition newsletter? Check it out! "PUNK: From Chaos to Couture" runs until August 14, but if you can't make it to NYC to see it in person, Fashionista posted some pictures and a review.

Fresh Faces. We're so excited to introduce you to our five - yes, FIVE! - fabulous interns: Ali Reith, Eric Rees, Kate Newman, Malina Padgett, and Rachel Box! They'll be helping us out with projects throughout the summer. Be sure to say hello!

Hoosier Fascinators. Last week the IMA's Fashion Arts Society hosted their second annual luncheon, Hats Off! We were sorry to have to miss this year's event, but Dressed Her Days Vintage has a fantastic write up and 505 Photo Studio's gallery of images is definitely worth a browse.

FASHION EDU. Interested in boosting your fashion business IQ? Fashion Business Incorporated in LA has a full roster of online seminars available, perfect for industry newbies as well as veterans!

Sustainable Innovation. We love all the eco fashion-related chatter that's been happening lately. While doing some research, we stumbled across Our Social Fabric, an awesome Vancouver-based nonprofit that helps rescue and repurpose textiles. How cool would it be to do something similar in Indy? (And no, we're not forgetting about Indy's own repurposing/reusing all-stars team at People for Urban Progress!) Related: Eco Fashion Week 2013 just wrapped (also in Vancouver) and Chicago introduced the first-ever eco fashion makeover! Side note: Missed the meetup? Wil Foster of Rock Candy did a fantastic job photographing the event! (And quit missing Pattern's free monthly meetups by registering here!)

A note from the IndySpectator team (editors?): We don't often do this, but Pattern's newsletter was so fabulous that we had to share it with y'all! So, now you've seen a bit of the style & fashion that Pattern's weekly newsletter can bring to your inbox: It's the perfect quick-read, brimming with news from here in Indy and filling you in on what's happening in the fashion world! It'll keep you up to date on Pattern's (free) monthly meetups as well as countless other fashion happenings in the city (and surrounding area). If you loved this, then it might suit your sartorial fancy to subscribe to their enews here
