Protecting Our Oceans

In April we shared a two part feature to help raise awareness to the serious issues facing our oceans, the largest and most vital components of our earth. In Part One of our series we listened to oceanographer Sylvia Earle's impassioned, award-winning TED Talk about the dangers we pose to planet in the way we treat our waters.

In Part Two, we were honored to share some of our dialogue with and reflections from from John Millar, a Registered Professional Biologist who has worked in the environmental field for over thirty years. Mr. Millar summed up the issues facing us about our oceans best, “I hope that we simply follow our heart to gain knowledge about our planet and its oceans.  Our hearts will not lead us far astray."

Happy Earth Day

We celebrated Earth Day in April and made sure to include several earth friendly features on our blog! Some of our eco-minded posts included the oceans feature, the Good Guide, Paper Karma and these breathtaking videos of our beautiful planet!
