The White House

A poignant piece written by Alex Vadukul for the NY Times about a special inhabitant, Sir Shadow, memorializes the character and significance of the White House in NoHo's history.  If you haven't, do read it.
42 Bond St.

Though James Galuppo passed on at 100 yrs in November, the family has no plan to unload the property.  Built in 1900, it has been the home of NoHo's last remaining authentic industrial business, Etna Tool & Dye, since the 1970s.  It is a worthy profile of NoHo's roots and a realistic glimpse at our evolution, written By Sara Dorn in the NY Post
More Design for NoHo

NoHo-Bowery Stakeholders, Inc. held a scoping session with its membership in October reviewing the 165 lots in NoHo's industrial zone.  NBS will be represented on an Advisory Group Panel convened by Councilmember Chin, Borough President Brewer and the CPC.

There will be public hearings in this process later this year.
Upgrade Cooper Square Plaza

We have entered our proposal for Cooper Square Plaza in this year's Participatory Budgeting line-up for funding.  The recommendations include a "shared street" designation to better protect pedestrians, a possible speed bump, better signage and a designated two-way bike lane (there is currently no provision for bikes in spite of the 40+ CityBike rental location).  Here's our presentation. AND HERE'S WHERE YOU CAN VOTE FOR IT'S NEEDED IMPROVEMENTS.
