Preliminary Recommendations from the Envisioning SoHo/NoHo initiative.

A final recommendation report will be made public for review in August.  NoHo-Bowery Stakeholders will host a meeting in September to gather feedback and preferrences in preparation for an anticipated October hearing at CB#2.

 
HAPPENINGS


Clean Market to open third location, in NoHo, at 40 Bleecker St.  According to The Commercial Observer asking rent at the property was $250 per square foot in the off-market deal.

Pet Friendly NoHo
Nearly 68 percent of the apartments in NoHo are pet friendly, making it #3 on the NYC list, followed by Battery Park City with about 58 percent, Chelsea with almost 54 percent and the West Village with about 53 percent.

Under the radar, but seriously significant, is an ad hoc group of Women entrepeneurs who have made a point of supporting humanitarian endeavors.  We are proud and humbled and ready to add our voices and talents to their next endeavor.   Among them:  Maria Cornejo, Jill Platner, Donna LennardJane Mayle, Ulla JohnsonPadma Lakshmi, Anna Sheffield, Rachel Comey.  Their most recent collaboration was an auction supporting Planned Parenthood.

Results of June Hearings

363 Lafayette St. was granted the special permit for retail use on the ground floor and below grade space, with stipulations.  Read the resolution.


The Jones will get its three-table sidewalk cafe...with Awning.  The resolution.

Design for the East Fourth St. Water Tunnel Park approved at CB#2.  BTW it will include some architectural remnants from the Colonades in the design. CB#2 Parks Committee Report.
