Two centres supporting scientific activity have started their activities

The Centre for Biostatistical and Bioinformatics Analysis provides researchers with support at every stage of conducting research, from designing measurement methodology, through data acquisition and analysis, to its final interpretation. The Centre offers a range of services related to widely understood biostatistical and bioinformatics analysis and big data analysis. The profile of its activities includes primarily support for projects based on high-throughput DNA and RNA sequencing (including single-cell analysis), as well as other scientific initiatives that require the processing of large amounts of data. The Centre's activities also include the use of artificial intelligence in the processing of imaging data and classification of patient samples.
In the Centre for Excellence of Scientific Publications, researchers can obtain comprehensive support for communication of research results, especially at different stages of preparation of English-language scientific publications. The Centre's goal is to support authors in achieving the highest possible linguistic, editorial, and graphical quality of articles submitted to scientific journals. We recommend reliable translation companies and develop graphic components of manuscripts. Through the Centre, it is possible to apply for funding for publication and linguistic correction of papers.

LIDER XII for extending the competence of young scientists in independent planning of research works and managing their research team
TANGO V for implementation of conceptual works or R&D works covering industrial research and/or development works (a joint undertaking of the National Centre for Research and Development and the National Science Centre)

Łukasiewicz Institute – PORT for the selection of research teams conducting scientific activity in the form of a Virtual Research Institute program in the field of medical biotechnology – oncology
On January 26, a meeting of PRA Oncology coordinators was held

The research team's coordinators gave an update on the status of the research work. One group is working on the use of neural networks for the early diagnosis of skin cancer. In cooperation with scientists from the Warsaw University of Technology, an application will be developed which, based on self-reported pictures of skin lesions, will suggest to patients the need for medical consultation. Also planned are extensive studies using nationwide databases on the course and treatment of COVID-19 in cancer patients and oncological treatment in COVID-19 patients.
Upcoming events
