June 2017 Newsletter
What wonderful news we have to share with you…..
Let’s start with the centers we are working with and the one we are starting:
Bay City – The board and staff are in the process of looking for a larger building so they can continue to move forward.
Port Lavaca – They have had their first banquet and did very well. John Osby, our Board President, will be doing a board training this weekend and we look forward to seeing where God will lead them.
Galveston – We had our first board meeting today (5-30-17) and we will now begin the process of registering with the State of Texas and applying for our 501C3. Joni Adams is steadily working in our office, training for the day she steps into her new role as Executive Director of the Pregnancy Help Center of Galveston.
This is such exciting news because we know the difference that is being made in our center and to think that the same difference will be made in Bay City, Port Lavaca, and Galveston.
And more wonderful news…..
We will continue to teach Free to Be Me at Brazoswood HS, Brazosport HS, and The Lighthouse. It looks like we will also be teaching in the Columbia/Brazoria High School this coming year.
As I think about what God is doing in and around us, I constantly find myself singing one of my favorite songs….
You’re the God of this city, You’re the King of these people
You’re the Lord of this nation, You’re the Light in this darkness.
You’re the hope to the hopeless, You’re the Peace to the restless
There is no one like our God!
And because of you, we can sing in confidence the ending to this song….For greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city!
Blessings to you all,
