As Baby Bottle Boomerang starts again this Sunday on Mother’s Day, you might wonder if the money we collect really matters. Let me assure you that it does! Take a look at what we can offer due to your generosity!
Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds will soon be available for clients that test positive for pregnancy. When patients see an ultrasound of their baby, they are much more likely to carry the baby to term. Also, offering the service itself encourages up to 45% more clients to walk in the door for help.
Education Programs such as HOPE classes for expectant parents and Free2BMe classes in the local school districts are funded in part with the bottles. In addition, we will soon subscribe to a new curriculum called Brightcourse which contains a series of videos that are textable to clients on their cellphones. They teach about parenting, baby care and other topics even if we can’t get them to come in to the PHC.
We’re remodeling the front of the center to give it a fresh look, which appeals to our millennial and post-millennial clients. We’ll also upgrade our office and information security to comply with HIPPA laws because by offering ultrasounds we will be considered a medical clinic.
We are enhancing Safety and Security of our building by installing security windows in our building. These will have impact glass, which makes them nearly burglar and hurricane proof. This will enhance the safety of our staff so they can focus their attention on ministry to our clients.
Finally, Offsite Ultrasound services are being considered through the use of a mobile van equipped with our ultrasound machine, a restroom and an exam table. This would allow us to reach nearby communities that don’t have a PHC. Although we’re not yet sure if God is leading us to do this, we have begun discussions with a van provider called Save the Storks, which equips vans for pregnancy help centers.
We’re constantly striving to make our services better and more relevant to our clients, and we are able to do that with your generous help!
