Baby Bottles Make Us Better!

As Baby Bottle Boomerang starts again this Sunday on Mother’s Day, you might wonder if the money we collect really matters.  Let me assure you that it does! Take a look at what we can offer due to your generosity!

Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds will soon be available for clients that test positive for pregnancy.  When patients see an ultrasound of their baby, they are much more likely to carry the baby to term. Also, offering the service itself encourages up to 45% more clients to walk in the door for help.

Education Programs such as HOPE classes for expectant parents and Free2BMe classes in the local school districts are funded in part with the bottles.  In addition, we will soon subscribe to a new curriculum called Brightcourse which contains a series of videos that are textable to clients on their cellphones.  They teach about parenting, baby care and other topics even if we can’t get them to come in to the PHC.

We’re remodeling the front of the center to give it a fresh look, which appeals to our millennial and post-millennial clients.  We’ll also upgrade our office and information security to comply with HIPPA laws because by offering ultrasounds we will be considered a medical clinic.

We are enhancing Safety and Security of our building by installing security windows in our building.  These will have impact glass, which makes them nearly burglar and hurricane proof. This will enhance the safety of our staff so they can focus their attention on ministry to our clients.

Finally, Offsite Ultrasound services are being considered through the use of a mobile van equipped with our ultrasound machine, a restroom and an exam table.  This would allow us to reach nearby communities that don’t have a PHC. Although we’re not yet sure if God is leading us to do this, we have begun discussions with a van provider called Save the Storks, which equips vans for pregnancy help centers.

We’re constantly striving to make our services better and more relevant to our clients, and we are able to do that with your generous help!

This Spring we were blessed to be able to present our Free 2B Me programs at several area high schools. Free 2B Me teaches young people whole person health & sexual risk avoidance. Thank you to all the school districts who allow us to share this wonderful information with their students!

On April 5th, Laura Samuel taught the April car seat class, where we gave away 5 car seats at the completion of the class. Later that day, two of the babies who will be riding in the seats came in to say "Hello" and "Thank you!" We love days like this!

March and April 2019

Pregnancy Test Clients         46
Benevolence Clients             45
Bibles Given                         10
New Believers                        2

Three generations of HOPE clients came to visit us on April 10th. Jude was born March 16, his mommy, Holly is finishing up her HOPE classes and his grammy, Sherry, is now staying at home taking care of him on Tuesday nights so Holly can finish the class. Welcome to our world sweet Jude, we are thrilled to meet you in person and love the generational impact God has allowed PHC to have on this family.
Ministry Needs and Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities
We are seeking a married couple to join the rotation to lead our "What's This Thing Called Parenting?" class. You don't have to be the perfect parent, just able to present the curriculum provided and invest in the lives of our clients.

We are also seeking new Client Advocates to meet with our clients who come in for pregnancy tests and benevolence appointments.

If either of these roles interest you, please contact Jackie or Cindy.

Giving Opportunities

Size 4, 5, and 6 diapers
Similac Spit-Up Formula
Enfamil Nutramigen Formula

We appreciate your support!

What did you like most about the Free 2B Me?

"This program has opened my eyes up to taking better care of myself. Thank you!"

"I think it's good that all high school students hear this."

"These are problems are real concerns we kids have today...."

"This class was so helpful. I understand better. It changed me."

These comments from students who went through our Free 2B Me program this Spring. They encourage us to continue supporting and loving on those in our community who need what the Pregnancy Help Center has to offer!!
