Call for Abstracts
SAM Virtual Conference 2015
July 9, 2015
Dear SAM user,
NREL's System Advisor Model (SAM) team is excited to announce the third SAM virtual one-day conference. The 2015 conference is scheduled for the day of Thursday, July 9 2015 MDT, over the internet so that you can participate from anywhere in the world without traveling.
The purpose of these free conferences is to provide a forum for people who use SAM to share their SAM wisdom, experience, and research, and to learn from each other. Virtual conference sessions are recorded and posted on the SAM website
following the conference as a resource for the SAM community.
Do you have an interesting example of how you have used SAM that you would like to share with your colleagues? If so, we would like to invite you to apply to be a conference presenter
by completing a short questionnaire and submitting a 200-word abstract describing your use of SAM. We would like the conference to represent the full range of people using SAM, so please apply whether you use it in your work installing residential photovoltaic systems, developing large wind projects, researching energy policy, designing concentrating solar power systems, or for any other application of the software.
If we select you to be a presenter, we will ask you to prepare a set of presentation slides and give a 15-20 minute talk to be followed by a 5-10 minute question and answer session. You do not need to submit a paper.
The system requirements for the web conferencing software are a computer with a reliable internet connection with audio connection via telephone or computer.
Free registration for non-presenters will open after the June 5 deadline for abstract submissions.
Dates to remember:
Deadline for abstract submissions. Please complete the conference
presenter application form, including a 200 word abstract.
Notification of acceptance and tentative presentation time for presenters.
Final presentation slides due.
