Gerd Janson and Prins Thomas announce all night long B2B set for the inaugural Black Magic Disco
Royal Orchestral Society

BARTÓK
BLUEBEARD’S CASTLE

SUN 2 APR

What better way to end the weekend than a rousing session of the powerful one-act opera composed by Béla Bartók? On Sunday 2nd April the Royal Orchestral Society will perform an afternoon and evening show at Village Underground, transforming our warehouse with the classic horror tale, retold by Béla Balázs as a libretto of murder, barbarian kings, and the tantalising story of love and loneliness of the human spirit.

Daniel Avery

SUPERSTITION X DANIEL AVERY

FRI 19 MAY

Perhaps it was Daniel Avery’s route into producing that sets him apart from the pack: with a fascination for the riffs of The Stooges and The Smashing Pumpkins in his teens, Avery spent his early years riffling through his Dad’s record collection. In many ways the psychedelic, electronic sounds coming from one of the UK’s most in-demand DJs mirror the creative risks rock and roll was taking last century. As one of the scene’s main innovators, Daniel manages to bring that creative flair firmly into 2017.
