It's spring in Europe again and as I walk through the forest here I keep seeing new things emerging from the old. A young shoot tentatively making its way from the mottled forest floor. A waterfall crashing onto the rocks below only to find its way back to life in the next current or eddy. Life can appear fragile as we deal with the variety of physical challenges that are occurring on our planet right now and yet nature also has the power to continually replenish herself. As a friend recently said to me " everything works if we let it, creation too. "
Like nature I too am in a phase of growing something new. The old definitions of who I thought I was have fallen away including the role of wife and mother and even house owner and for the first time in 20 years I am completely free.
I feel very grateful for my beautiful relationship and for all the wonderful lessons and experiences I had but now for mutual reasons Nyck and I have parted and both of us are enjoying new adventures and experiences while keeping our love for each other as a reminder of what's possible no matter what.
So I am on the road now with my rather large red suitcase and a guitar enjoying sharing my playful, joyous and creative nature. No transition is easy and even though I get angry and go into denial, disbelief and sheer terror I also feel cleansed and vibrant. I truly believe that eventually life brings us circumstances where we have to face our choices and take a big breath, get on the plane and fly to the next destination...
So with " flying free" as my status update I will be sharing Yoga, Music and more in a variety of destinations for the next few months and look forward to seeing you there!

Donate To Japan
Here is a project I became involved in shortly after Japan's Tsunami and Earthquake in March. Consider downloading this new App and make a difference to those in need
YOGA WITH YOU” is a digital app for the charity Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Disaster Relief. The app for the Apple iPad is now available from the Apple iTunes App Store for JPY 600, or USD 4.99. All proceeds from the sale of the app, minus expenses, will be used to help people in the quake and tsunami-hit region of northeastern Japan.
The highlights of this app are that the contributors are yoga teachers from all over the world and that their “Messages from Teachers” introduces ideas on how to relax and become more stable physically and emotionally. One of the featured teachers is B.K.S. Iyenger. He explains how specific asana and pranayama promote relaxation and stability. Additionally, Kundalini yoga teacher, Gurmukh, explains some meditation methods. The combination of music, narration, Japanese and English make this a comprehensive app. We hope you consider downloading it and joining our charity!!
