|Dear Friend of the Tea Party,
You've heard the expression. "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future!"
As we've emphasized many times before one of the biggest problems facing us is the intrusion of the federal government into our daily lives. If you have followed our eblasts you have learned how central planners are attempting to make big changes in your town through the actions of unelected "advisory" boards that make up a new form of "regional governance". These boards are basically working as lobbyists on behalf of federal government programs which they administer. With these programs, the federal government is committed to certain ideas that did not come from the community even though they try very hard to make you think so.
The schools are no exception, having been influenced by international forces for years. Public sentiment must be pro-big government, and change agents know that getting children used to that idea is most effective if started early in life.
The subject of this eblast is the latest educational mandate from the federal government, which most agree can't be legal under the constitution, is known as "Common Core".
It is similar to many failed programs before it. It is intrusive, political, controlling, unproven, and dumbed down academically. And it costs money. (Some school districts in NH spend upwards of $16K per child/per year or more already!)
Keeping the Common Core Nationalized Curriculum out of NH will NOT solve all the problems of the public schools, but it's a start. It's time 'conservatives' got up out of their complacency and realized, as Hitler knew, that those who control education will control the political views of generations to come. In Germany, a core curriculum was introduced, so that the Nazis could monitor, at all times, what was being taught. Common Core provides for Chinese-style electronic dossiers with 'value added' information that will follow all students for LIFE. (They were talking about these dossiers even back in the early 1990s)
In Nazi Germany, teachers who did not go along with the political views of the government were dismissed. This is already happening in the USA, not just in teaching, but in other professions as well, such as health and human services, psychology, and medicine. People are being tested on their 'dispositions' from preschool on up... and when it's time for employment, if they are considered unworthy due to these 'dispositions' (political views) they are often denied jobs. Today's teachers and psychologists are NOT being trained to educate students academically or to counsel and help people cope with their problems, but to influence their political views. Does it sound like we're becoming Castro's Cuba? I can tell you from personal experience that we're already there.
Please mark your calendars for these upcoming sessions about Common Core, and if you can't attend, please take an interest in what goes on in your local schools. You STILL at this point in time, have the right to toss out school board members who don't listen to the taxpayers. But you might not have this right for long. One of the recommendations being made at the federal level by consultants from the era of William Ayers, is the abolition of local school boards. If that happens, it will be the end of any control you may have had over what happens in the public schools... school that are funded by YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
The far-left Center for American Progress recommends elimination of local school boards:
"This paper looks at the governance issue from a decidedly transnational perspective. This is because it is very hard to get a perspective on education governance as practiced in the United States only by looking at the United States."
Transnational? It's not bad enough that the feds try to tell us what to do, but now some foreign entity must have a say as well?
Had enough? Please mark these dates to come and learn, and please invite your friends, neighbors, school board members and legislators. All are welcome.
