Why all the action
on Cochrane Sustainability’s Facebook page and Twitter stream?
SPUR is pleased to welcome Sharon MacDonald as our Communications and Engagement Coordinator for the next seven months.  She is managing our Facebook page and Twitter account, along with many other behind-the-scenes activities.

If you are a Sustainability Champion or a Citizen of Sustainability, you will hear from Sharon early in the new year because she wants to have coffee with YOU!  Learn more about Sharon here.  Follow us on Facebook here and look for us on Twitter as @CochraneSustain.
What is SPUR anyway?
SPUR stand for Sustainability Partners Uniting Resources.  It is the community group facilitating the implementation of the Cochrane Sustainability Plan.  Seven community volunteers serve on the SPUR board.  These board members, along with additional community volunteers, are building connections within the community, helping citizens find sustainable options and make sustainable choices.  Find out more about SPUR here.
Why is SPUR reconnecting with Champions and Citizens?
As the Cochrane Sustainability Plan wraps up its fourth year, it’s time to gather feedback and input from our Champions and Citizens, the ones who’ve walked the talk, the ones who can advise us on next steps!

If you are already a Sustainability Champion or Citizen  -- or you want to become one – have coffee and a conversation with Sharon, our Engagement Coordinator, to explore your part in making a real difference in our community.  To book a coffee,

Would you consider adopting an animal companion from the Cochrane Humane Society this Christmas season?  Attend their Christmas Open House, December 14, noon-5:00 p.m. to find out why the holiday season can be a great time to adopt from an animal shelter.
