From the Rector

Dear Friends,

Nothing stays the same. Everything is subject to change. Indeed, this axiom is found in almost every religion, the self-help section of your locale bookstore, the expiry date on the milk in your fridge, and innumerable fortune cookies that never give me the right lotto numbers.

It has also proven to be true in my work schedule, and as such, the schedule for St. Joseph's will be changing, slightly, but unpleasantly.

As the Apostolic Johannite Church is staffed by volunteers, everybody across the Church makes their living outside of its boundaries in the world, some as teachers and professors, others, like myself, in Health Care. As my department is making changes to patient care, our schedules are changing with it. So at least for the immediate future- our Liturgies will now be held at 8pm on scheduled days, and our dinner and discussion nights at 745pm. If this changes further, you'll be able to find updates on both our Parish page and the Google Calendar that we have posted there- at

As there has been a small break in my newsletters as I adjust to work changes as well a full plate of work on the Church front- we've got a stack of excellent education from both last year's Conclave and the Conclave just past to catch up on and you can find those in the News and Education from around the Church section below. Every talk available on our
YouTube Channel can also be found in audio on our podcast, the Lectern as well.

This Month at St. Joseph's

Please join us as we celebrate the Contemplative Eucharist of the Apostolic Johannite Church on August 14th at 8pm in Room 4 at the Unitarian Church, or for some dinner and discussion, August 28th for some Dinner and Discussion at Boston Pizza at North Hill Centre.

Ad Sacram Flammam,
+ Shaun Mar Iohannes
