The weekly news email of
Beacon of Hope United Methodist Church
September 9, 2022
Dear <<First Name>>,
Welcome to this week’s edition of THE BEACON !
We invite you to join us next Sunday, September 18th, for our Welcome to Fall programming! We will have Sunday School and worship together.
Following Worship, we will have a picnic together on the lawn. We will have some fun & games, with the playground open for the kids to play! It is a wonderful Sunday to extend an invitation for someone to join you for worship and lunch!
Wednesday Night - Study Update!
We have finished our Summer A-La-Carte program, and had many great discussions. Now it is time to look forward!
Starting Wednesday, September 21st, we will begin a new topic: “Women of the Bible”. Whoo-hoo!
Join us as we are introduced to some of the lesser-known women of the Bible. Women who may not be as familiar to us, but had a huge impact on the world at that time. Look for the announcement in next week's BEACON - which will have the list of women we will study, along with the zoom link you will need to join us. And by the way - this study is for men as well, so don't be shy, gentlemen! Hope to see you there!
Greetings my friends in Christian love;
It has been a long time since we have been together celebrating our Lord’s love and messages through the joy of music with a Church Choir.
I am so very happy to share with you that our church, Beacon of Hope United Methodist Church, has asked and prayed for a return of a Church Choir…. so here we are! After two years without a choir, I am overjoyed to introduce a blend of two different church choirs, to bring you music of love, faith, and fun for you all to enjoy every week and help your faith grow through music.
Our first rehearsal will be Sunday, September 25th from 11:30am to 12:30pm!
I look forward to praising God with you and ask for your blessings moving forward!

In need of a battery operated all-terrain wheel chair?
Don Lowe, a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, enjoyed a Falcon All-Terrain battery-operated wheelchair during his last few months. He loved getting outdoors and engaging with friends and neighbors outside. The chair is easy to operate, comfortable to use, and always lifted Don’s spirits. That chair needs a new home – a place where someone wants to get their loved one out and about with ease. Please read the attached for the specifics.
