AN INSIDE VIEW - Warren Lewis, BBV designer, ideas man.

I grew up watching the Doctor Who visual spin-off films such as Auton and The Stranger, loving how much darker they are compared to the main TV show.

Over the last year I've been lucky enough to work with BBV directly, mainly creating illustrations which are edited into the new P.R.O.B.E. Case Files series. I also assist with graphic design where needed, making the logo for the Brigadier audio series, as well as editing the Uncut interview DVD sleeves. My personal highlight was venturing into writing with a P.R.O.B.E. Case File story called 'Living Fiction' - aiming to be a loving tribute to 1922 horror film Nosferatu, which fascinates me that 100-year-old footage can still be so atmospheric.

Currently developing some exciting new projects with the team that should be announced in the near future. Always keen to receive feedback and ideas.
REVIEW OF BRIG:
'Necessary Force'
Review by regular listener Sue Brand

This was a wonderful Dr Who type story.
I love the way you have the Brig refusing other people's help, similar to his anger in Mawdryn Undead. He knows he has a problem, but he is stubbornly determined to sort it himself. Whether this is because  deep down he knows there are secrets  he cannot let people know about or just sheer pig headed denial, who knows?
The trial is written really well. His memories of the incidents, he is being accused of,  are  lacking but he knows himself to be an honourable soldier who would not do those things. He is also a good enough diplomat to get to the truth.
Then the story twists nicely and the Brigadier is left floundering. Unable, because  of his memory loss, to defend himself and unsure if due to a careless mistake he is guilty of the final crime put to him.
When all seems lost, then a friend, who has to be hinted at due to copy right, saves the day by providing, at second hand, testimony of his innocence.
I like how this incident although perceived as a dream it helps the Brigadier to become more accepting of his predicament.
Like I said a real nice story and nicely acted out!
