Hey Inhabitat readers!

Welcome to July! It's been an exciting week in the world of green design as the European Solar Decathlon wound to a close and Virginia Tech's Lumenhaus was crowned the world's most efficient solar-powered home! This week we also brought you all the latest eco innovations from Dwell on Design 2010, where team Inhabitat teamed up with Touch to showcase some great green designs - including the winners of our Spring Greening DIY Design Competition! Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for... we're thrilled to announce the winner of our iPad + DODOcase giveaway!

ANNOUNCING: Our iPad + DODOcase Winner!

Thanks to everyone who entered our iPad + DODOcase summer giveaway - we received nearly 2,000 entries, making this one of our most successful contests to date! It was a real challenge to pick just one entry out of all your amazing responses, but without further ado our winner is... VWdesigndiva, who will be using the iPad to teach tots about the joys of gardening! There were too many great responses to give out just one prize, so we're also awarding a runner-up prize to Oucil, who wowed us with his wonderful acrostic poem:
